Surfing Wipeout

Who doesn't remember their worst or dumbest wipeout? From blowing an easy takeoff to going over the falls. From colliding with other surfers to colliding with our own surfboard. I can remember many myself.

Especially memorable are several faceplants at The Wedge and Ocean Beach. Then there were those times I took the longboard to the chest and worse..between the legs. Other times are notable for the shear frustration. The leash caught between the toes...down I go, and another great wave gets away. Then there are the angry ones...people dropping in and colliding with me. Then the embarrassing ones, me dropping on somebody and colliding. Those I'm pleased to say, have been rare, mostly happening when I just started surfing. Other falls shouldn't have happened at all. The foot simply going in the wrong place on easy takeoff...what happened?

So here's to the wipeout and these lucky surfers with these magical moments captured in time.
