What is The Best Thickness of Wetsuit in Central and Southern California?

I am a student at Santa Barbara and I surf 3-4days a week.

Right now I am using 3/2 wetsuit, but this is the wetsuit I got free from my friend and it used for about 5 years, so it doesn't really work as a wetsuit.

Water soaks through a lot hile waiting for the wave I cannot stop shaking because of the coldness. However, I heard the wetsuits sale is going to start from beginning of March, I am considering to get a new wetsuit for myself.
I researched a lot about a wetsuit but I don't really know which thickness is the best for the west coast.

So if there are any particular advise please give it to me.
Thanks.

3/2 or 4/3

You could probably get away with a new 3/2. That old wetsuit won't do you any favors. You could definately use the Matuse 4/3/2 and it would be plenty warm. Best case would be to have two suits; a 3/2 and a 4/3 for winter. I'm a bit further north so the 3/2 is really no option.

Good Cali Winter Wetsuit
by: Bryan

Definately a 4/3 fullsuit with glued & liquid tapped seams such as a RipCurl. Why be cold! I have a longsleeve & shortsleeve available for cheap if interested? You can find them on Craigslist now or by email at Bryan_hurley@yahoo.com
