The story of a beginner
I've been surfing for about 7 months now so I'm finally able to get out and feel comfortable catching waves consistently with my longboard. It was an uncrowded weekday literally 15 people in the water and still got barked at by an aggro local before even attempting to paddle into a wave.
The scenery is great, as are the waves, but for beginners who are past that initial stage of just being able to get up on the board, it sucks. You can never beat out the really good surfers for a wave at the second point and at the first point you are in a maze of surfers who are learning for the first time crowded in a small area.
The vibe is anything but relaxed here.
