Puerto Sandino is by far one of the most unknown waves in Nicaragua. After 6 months of research my partners and I decided to take advantage of this insane left barrel freight train of a wave an open our surf camp AST La Barra.

Access to this spot is by boat only, those who try to make the paddle through the Estuary, good luck. Tides are critical and the current from this spot is heavy, taking almost 1 hour to get back out in the line up after getting caught inside. Having the necessary equipment is critical...
