Pismo Beach Pier

South of Morro Bay and close to Cal-Poly, Pismo Beach Pier is a classic beach break. Taking a WNW or NW swells best, breaks north and south of the pier follow the contours. Easy egress through rips next to the pier and peaks further out heading left and right, make this a beach that shows best in fall and winter. Best wave form is on rising tide in the morning before the sea breeze blows it out. Tourists are plentiful during the day, but locals prevail in the early morning hours.
