Perfect Arvo Surf at Straddie

Booging at Straddie (South Stradbroke Island Australia)

Howz it going? I personaly boog (bodyboard) and find it much more better then surfing. One arvo at Straddie when we were camping a good consistant 4ft-5ft on sets rolled through. Me and me mates got so many barrels and got deep. The waves were sucking up perfect. The crap thing was that so many surfers were there trying to charge the waves and kept fall of from the wave being to steep. Surfers can't handle these waves which is a waste of a perfectly good barrel which reals gets me and me mates mad. Over and over this group of surfers kept charging these waves and kept falling down the face. They kept wasting some many good waves. My opinion is that if you wanna surf or boog, boog. Surfing is crap and everone knows that boogers get deeper anyway.

P.S
If you ever come to the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia go to South Stradbroke Island (Straddie) or D'Bah (Durranbah). You will get good barrels when swell is pumping.

I say use whatever works best. Shortboard, bodyboard, longboard..as long as your catching waves. If none of the surfers were catching waves, then yea, it's too bad they were being wasted. I remember days at the Newport Beach Wedge were the waves were like that....there were no surfers out there.

I went to North Stradbroke island during this trip but I didn't see the South Island. Nice place.
