Ocean Beach SF Surf 4/11/2011

Not as fun as last Monday but certainly worth a paddle out. I didn't get many waves but caught a few 3-4 footers....and a couple of 5ft waves that closed out on me. Fairly clean conditions, easy paddle out under sunny skies, not a bad way to start the week.

The family and I were at Sunday Streets along the Great Highway yesterday and I was stunned at how empty the beach was...almost nobody was out on a sunny Sunday. The weather was nice with a south wind that I usually associate with rain, making for some sideshore wind at OB, semi-clean conditions. The waves were small and granted those were some weak shoulders but I would have paddled out on a floatier board in a heartbeat if I had the time. It was actually more crowded today.
