Ocean Beach SF 18 July 2011

by Chris

After a little bit of poking around I ended up at OBSF. Fun session with 3 to 4ft+ waves rolling through. Best day I had in about a month. Clean conditions and had a few nice rights that held up well. A few dolphins swimming nearby, one torpedoed out of the water 5ft from me. Not bad at all for summertime in the Bay Area. Also went out on Sunday to the HMB Jetty with the family. That place seems to usually work best for the kids. The waves were basically 1-2ft closeouts but I grabbed fish and paddled out under the sunshine anyway. Pop-up, drop, turn, straighten out in the whitewash, and watch the kids splash around on the inside. Nice time at HMB just not much in the way of surf.
