I think that's actually a good blend. You can drop the reps and increase the weights without getting stiff or too bulky though. It might just add a little power to your surfing. I love when people say "Oh I don't wanna get all crazy jacked up like Arnold". You won't. Believe me, you won't.

And as long as you stretch after every workout you can stay flexible. I knew hockey players who were more flexible than their yoga instructors but were 215 lbs and strong as hell. And their stamina was world class. So heavier weights isn't a bad idea. You can at least work them in every once in a while.

The main reason for me commenting was to caution people against going over 15 or 16 reps. If the weight is that light that you can do 16 or more reps it's likely not enough of a benefit to you in the first place and you're opening the door for injury really easily.
