Manhattan Beach

Small Waves and Sunshine at Manhattan Pier

This is a popular surf spot with beachbreak on either side of the Manhattan Beach Pier. Works on most tides except a big High. SW swell corssed up with some peaky swell is best. Head for Marine Street if there is a south swell. Spots south of here pick up less and less south swell. Usually closes out on larger swells.

This is a fairly consistent but crowded spot. There is metered parking by the access at Manhattan Beach Boulevard. If your itching for more crowded beachbreak by yet another Southern California pier, head to nearby Hermosa Beach.
