El Salvador in Central America

by Francisco Miliani
(Guatemala)

The country is different of Costa Rica, is smaller with perfect waves around the same area, the roads are in perfect conditions.
we got to the airport in the middle of the day, the weather was warm and the day was very sunny, a friend of us pick us up and in a few minutes we got to La Libertad, the city is a small town and in front of it Punta Roca point break, one local told me that punta roca was the Jbay of Latin America, and it was true, the wave is powerful, several tube sections, if it get big run about 300 mts.

We stayed at Sunzal, at a camping area, it was cheap, and you can surf totally uncrowded, a few times the went out with some guy at the camp, and surf other spots like Zonte, Mizata, and other that I don`t remember the names. after a few days surfing around La Libertad, the crew of the surfcamp, when and took us with them to the east side coast, next to Nicaragua and Costa Rica, the spot is amazing, Las Flores point break is a long ride, solid wave very fun a easy going, at night we stay right in front of the spot, the next day in the morning we took a boat ride to search for more spots around. the last one we found was Punta Mango, big tubes, fast wave.
