C Street

Surfer Walking out Toward the Point in Ventura

C Street (California Street), also know as Surfer's Point and Ventura Point, is a 3/4 mile long point in Ventura County. It's in front of the Ventura County Fairgrounds. There are three main sections:

  • Pipe - The top point as well as the most popular. A sand and cobblestone bottom creating long rights. On big winter days it can connect to California Street.
  • Stables - The section connecting Pipe and California Street. Can also be the best place to be for the wide swinging Pipe sets.
  • California Street - Mostly mushy rights with a few lefts. Located in front of the main parking lot. There's also Inside Point on large swells with low tide that creates rights all the way to the pier.

Low to medium tide is best with long period south to northwest swells.

This is another very popular spot in Ventura County so expect crowds, at least on weekends and all summer. There is payed parking and a boardwalk here for you to push the little ones around in the double stroller.
